"My miracle story with Dr Eric Haas! I was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2020. It was unknown how invasive it was due to a huge tumor that had broken through my colon wall. I met with Dr Haas and he mapped out a plan for his Team to cure me which included his special expertise in Robotic Surgery. He and his Team of doctors, in my case one was my Oncologist, Dr Raizen and also my Radiologist, Dr Yu (two very caring and excellent doctors) and other amazing doctors, met weekly to discuss their plans of healing for their patients. I began a journey with them to be totally healed of colon cancer and completely functioning once again after I had given much deliberation to their plan and from praying continual prayers. I had 3 major surgeries, chemo treatments, then radiation with chemo over a period of a year and a half. Dr Haas created a plan for me from the first day I saw him and he never wavered in his belief that he would put me back together again with his precision as a surgeon and with treatments from his Team of incredible doctors. (He always gave credit to his amazing Team.) One of the surgeries was 7 1/2 hours long and I know there were so many doctors that assisted in that one and all of the surgeries, too and I am very grateful to them as well. They created an outcome for me to be free of cancer and for my body to function normally once again. His Nurse Practitioner, Virginia Alagugurusamy, helped me through some tough times with her knowledge and excellent care, also. His staff is wonderful and a hard working group of professionals. There is so much more to the story but the point is I am alive, wonderfully repaired and cancer free due to Dr Haas and of course, ultimately God leading the way. Thank you, Dr Haas. "I went in a little nervous. I'm a middle aged man who was having constant diverticulitis issues. I was tired of antibiotics. I was just plain worn out. The idea of surgery was brought up and I was hesitant. Dr. Haas and his team took the time to clearly explain the process. I had many questions, all of them were answered. I had surgery May 16th, 2022. I was rolled into surgery at 3pm, out at 6:15 and was up and walking at 3:00 am. My pain levels never went above a level 2. Laproscopic is the way to go. Dr. Haas has performed nearly 1000 of these surgeries. You are in good hands with him. I hope that anyone with these issues finds relief. Dr. Haas and his team can help."

"I'm in my late 30's and have had 2 serious bouts with diverticulitis. I knew surgery was the only cure for this. Fortunately, I was able to have this performed as an elective procedure, and had the opportunity to seek out Dr. Haas and his team. Within 4 days of the surgery I was up and about with very little pain or discomfort, and after just over a week, I seem to be pushing better than normal. I can't thank them enough, because for quite some time I've had an anxiety hanging over my head after most meals, wondering if what I ate was going to trigger another episode. The best part of this is it was non invasive, leaving little scarring and allowing for such a rapid recovery. Again, thank you Doctors Haas, Lafave, and Weaver, as well as Ricardo and all staff. "I had surgery with Dr. Haas teamed up with my gynoecologist. What was supposed to be a hysterectomy with Dr. Haas on standby turned into major surgery involving Dr. Haas and his team. My appendix had to be removed, part of my colon removed as well as other things that needed to be done plus the hysterectomy. They did such a wonderful job I didn’t need any pain medication and had a hard time remembering to take it easy because I felt so good. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Haas and I am so thankful he was my surgeon."

"Definitely recommend to anyone with stomach problems you haven’t been able to get solved. I have been going through the worst stomach pain for years since I was about 11. I am 29 now. I have seen many different doctors and specialists in that time span. I was diagnosed with chrons colitis around 23 years old. I found a great gi doctor who did all he could but he knew I needed something more than he could handle. So he referred me to Dr. Haas. I can tell anyone that’s reading it was the best thing being referred to him. I have no stomach pains at all. I can’t believe it. It’s like I’m normal. "I’m so grateful to Dr Haas and his team. I originally had J-pouch surgery (due to ulcerative colitis) in 2008 by Dr Haas and it was life changing. I was able to live a normal life and wish I would have done it sooner. My pouch worked beautifully for 10 years. Unfortunately, I got an infection and had to have Ostomy for a short time. He redid my J-pouch surgery in June 2019 and it’s working just like before. The surgery at Woman’s Hospital went very smoothly. I was in minimal pain for about a week and a half. No more Ostomy bag! "After an other doctor doing an illostomy and her refusal to repair her work. I sought another source for the repair. After several attemptes, i found DrEric Hass at Houston Methodist Hospital. I had been turned down for repair by 2 other doctors. Dr Hass examined me and said he woulf fix my gut as new. Now understand as with any majior surgery it is not necessarily a quick fix.It was 2 surgeries and some unpleasent times, but the out come was as wonderful as the people here. Everyone on staff arr truley in tour corner. From the doctors to.the lady cleaning thr floors. No one ever said that it was not their job, everything is their job. The head nurse has gone and got me a fresh glass of water. SERVICE WITH THE PATIANT IN MIND.... that is the goal here at Methodist. .if you ever need a doctor for your colorectal probrlems run do not walk run to him as fast you can there is no better than Dr. Eric Hass ans his wonderful staff."
