"After doing extensive research on the Whipple surgery, I was scared to death to undergo the procedure but faced with the alternative of having cancer terrified me even more. Dr. Reddy and his team are experts in their field and very compassionate. They communicated with my family throughout the surgery, after the surgery and every day during my hospitalization. It’s not even three weeks after my surgery and I’m already walking around the house without my walker or cane. The staples are removed and I haven’t taken a pain pill since I’ve been home. "Dr. Reddy is not a good doctor — he is an exceptionally excellent one. Good doctors (and there are many) have some of these characteristics, but exceptionally excellent ones like Dr. Reddy (and there are few) have all of them: outstanding credentials, enough experience to be well seasoned by it, a high reputation among staff and patients, superior skill, and a friendly, caring, positive bedside manner. Who could ask for more from a doctor?One of the amazing things about Dr. Reddy is that he treats the whole patient — not just the biological part that is ailing. He educates the patient and family and then involves them in decision making under his guidance, based on the biology, the patient’s psychology, and the patient’s goals for quality of life.My experience serves as a good example. As an incidental finding on a sonogram of my gall bladder, we discovered my pancreas had more than 20 cysts on it. My primary care doctor said it was nothing to worry about — come back in a year or two to see if anything has changed. A local GI doctor, on the other hand, said I had a good chance of dying of pancreatic cancer.I was not satisfied with either approach so I decided to seek another opinion. After researching doctors in the greater Philadelphia area, I discovered Dr. Reddy. Even though Fox Chase is more than 40 miles from my home, it seemed worth the drive to get an opinion from someone who by all accounts was at the top of his field. It was one of the best decisions I ever made.I could hardly believe I could get an appointment with Dr. Reddy within two weeks of asking. Over the course of the next several months, Dr. Reddy ordered many tests, discovered my cysts were all precancerous, got to know me, and patiently explained the known and unknown biology of pancreatic cysts. Dr. Reddy then carefully explained my options including the risks/benefits of waiting and watching my cysts or operating to rid me of the largest, most troublesome one now before it turned the corner into a malignancy.Ultimately Dr. Reddy let my husband and me decide the best course of treatment for me. When we decided the Whipple was the best long-term option, Dr. Reddy agreed it was the right decision for us. By allowing us to partner with him in the decision making, he showed us respect and he honored my ownership and dignity for my life.Pancreatic cysts and cancer are scary. The Whipple is scary. For anyone who has to deal with these things, Dr. Reddy is the most calming, confident, and competent doctor there is to help patients navigate through them. "Dr. Reddy made my whole experience so wonderful. He explained everything in detail for my colon surgery. He even repaired a hernia he encountered. Was very involved in my three day hospital stay and recovery. And yesterday’s 2 week follow up appointment he gave me the best news that my cancer was all gone. He said that pathology was negative in my lymph nodes. A clean bill of health. He said I was healing well.Now I just have a 6 month follow up. It will include another CT and bloodwork prior to my appointment. Just another check to check if I’m still cancer free. Dr. Reddy was very sweet and caring and that is what really what made my whole experience hit home with me. He made me feel comfortable and safe. And I felt I was in the best hands with him. "I was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor on the head of my pancreas early this year. I live almost 3 hours away from Fox Chase, but I wanted a second opinion. I contacted Dr. Reddy and made an appointment. Since then I have just had my Whipple procedure done by Dr. Reddy, which was a success. Everyone at Fox Chase is Excellent, I knew the minute I walked in there I was in good hands, from the Nurses to the Doctors, all Excellent, I can't say enough about Dr. Reddy, I would recommend him over and over again. "This is difficult to write because words will never fully express the admiration and gratitude I feel for Dr. Reddy, his team, and the staff at Fox Chase Cancer Center. Cancer, until recently, was something other people got. We don't even say the word. When my removed ruptured appendix was found to be cancerous, I intended to stay with the talented surgeon who successfully removed it. And though he was talented, he was not an expert in appendix cancer. Lucky for me, I'm married to the greatest woman in the world who did the research and found that Dr. Reddy was the best. And go figure, we live less than a half hour from Fox Chase. From my first visit and consultation I knew I was in the best hands. Doctors (especially surgeons), often lose the ability to connect with their patients. From the moment I met Dr. Reddy, I felt as if I had a family member taking care of me. He was patient, informative, and reassuring. He treated me with grace and humor. During my entire cancer adventure, Dr. Reddy and his staff kept me informed and took the time to include my wife in the entire journey. My 3 hour laparoscopic procedure turned into an 8 hour marathon. And though I slept through all of it, I learned that Dr. Reddy and his team inspected everything inside my abdomen, twice, making sure there was nothing missed. No one these days does their job with that kind of skill, precision, and dedication. My post-operative care by the nursing staff a 3 South was equally impressive. Though, the Covid 19 crisis prevented my wife from visiting, I never felt alone. Quite the opposite. Every nurse, aid, and support staff made me feel cared for. I actually enjoyed my recovery and miss the people who got me through it. I will always be grateful to Dr. Reddy and the Fox Chase Cancer Center family."

"When we first met Dr Reddy my brother had lost 60 lbs and was jaundiced. From the first visit, Dr Reddy was optimistic with a plan and a we can do this attitude. He was honest and explained the cancer and each step in the process. His staff were fantastic! Dr Higa was responsible for two of My brothers pre -op procedures. She was excellent and had him in a good place for his surgery.Dr Reddy performed a successful whipple surgery.We were updated every two hours throughout the 8 hour surgery and Dr came and sat down with us after the surgery. "Dr. Reddy took over my care in May 2022 - I was diagnosed with possible cancer in the bile duct area near the pancreas. He acted swiftly in getting the required tests completed and scheduling surgery. The cancer could not be confirmed by Dr. Hilga at Fox Chase so we had to wait until the Whipple surgery was performed (June 21st). The pathology report came back that the tumor and surrounding cells were all precancerous (high grade dysplasia) and were getting ready to turn cancerous. His swift action with urgency contributed to saving my life. God gifted Dr. Reddy with surgical hands as the incision down the middle of m stomach is healing beautifully."

"After my colonoscopy , I was told that surgery would be the best preventive way to keep this cancer from coming back. When I first had the consultation for the surgery, he was keen to explain the procedure carefully and address all of my concerns. He did not rush me to make a decision or make me feel uncomfortable or pressured. "On 9/30/20 I was diagnosed with stage 4 Appendiceal Cancer. After meeting with Dr. Reddy on 11/4/20, we knew he was the one to perform HIPEC Surgery. He was always very positive and upbeat. "My journey started with a perforated appendix in June 2020. After scheduling an appendectomy in late July, they discovered I had a tumor on my appendix and diagnosed me with Low-grade Appendeceal Mucinous Neoplasm (LAMN). I was referred to Dr. Reddy due to the rarity of this disease, and he was one of two doctors In the area that specialized in appendix cancer.The first time I met him, I was impressed with his kindness, confidence and hope that my cancer could be treated. I went through multiple CT scans and blood work and was recommended that I undergo CRS/HIPEC surgery in early October.The care and level of expertise I received at Fox Chase CC was top notch. "I was diagnosed with a neuroendocrine tumor that was found on my first colonoscopy. Knowing this tumor was rare, I did my research and found that Dr. Reddy was experienced in surgically removing endocrine tumors and his credentials were amazing. Upon my first appointment with Dr. Reddy, I was relieved to see that he was exactly as described from his patient reviews. He was thorough in discussing my cancer, the surgery and what to expect after surgery. He remained calm and confident even though my anxiety and worry were off the charts. Surgery day he greeted me with his calm, confident and knowledgeable way and this helped with all of my pre-surgery worry. The surgery was a complete success. "I was referred to Dr. Reddy by my oncologist for a liver surgery consultation. Dr. Reddy is very knowledgeable and explained all options available for my type of surgery. "I started seeing Dr. Reddy in February when I needed a biopsy to diagnose a mass found on my pancreas after a local hospital admission found it on a scan. He has walked me through each step of the process to bring me to my surgery date. Right before Thanksgiving, I had a modified Appleby surgery which was successful due to Dr. Reddy's astonishing surgical skill. "I'm not real good at writing reviews or hardly ever do but i absolutely need to write this one. Please excuse my grammar and jumping around from one thought to another. Approximately 8 months ago i was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer as you can imagine it was the worst news of my life. As i was letting everybody in my life know about my diagnosis people were asking me about where i was going and who my doctors were, i told them i was going to fox chase and my team of doctors were Dr Reddy, Dr Kutikov, Dr Vijay, and Dr Reddy's assistant Max.( i know behind the scenes there was even more ) Every single person told me i was in the best place possible and boy were they right. As i was going thru test after test everybody associated with fox chase could not have been nicer and more professional. Now the reason for me to sit down and write this review is Dr Reddy and his team. My mom once told me there are angels who walk among us and Dr Reddy is truly one of those angels, his knowledge, professionalism and bedside manner is second to none. There wasnt a single second that i didnt think i was in the best of hands. Dr Reddy and his team explain everything to me and my wife every step of the way. They reviewed my case very carefully and determined what the best treatment was for me, i believe i would not have gotten this care anywhere else. I know my surgery was a very difficult one and Dr Reddy and his team pulled it off ( at a loss for a word here ) without a single problem. I hear on the radio all the time it does matter where you start out and fox chase is second to no one. "On February 4, 2022, Dr. Reddy performed surgery on me. He removed a portion of my pancreas and my entire spleen. He performed this surgery using robotic technology. With Dr. Reddy's expertise using robotic technology for surgery, I have 4 small incisions. I am healing very quickly and I expect to completely feel like my pre-surgery self in approximately 3 weeks from the date of the surgery. "After being given a devastating diagnosis of Pancreatic Cancer in May of 2021 and feeling totally frightened and lost I was so fortunate to be at such a great facility with one of the top surgeons in the field for this type of Cancer. Dr.Reddy and his team did not pull any punches as to the severity of the diagnosis nor treatment. I followed the plan from Chemo to radiation in preparing me for surgery to the letter and as of today, four weeks post op, I am totally clear of the tumor with a optimistic picture for survival. "September of this year my husband, Joseph Koch, received devastating news that he had ampullary cancer. With such an overwhelming diagnosis we didn't even know where to begin. We live in an area with a huge network of doctors and hospitals so we knew we would have some decisions to make. We were then referred to Dr.Reddy at Fox Chase Cancer Center. We were so impressed by Dr.Reddy that we knew we were able to put all of our trust into him. You see, we have a two hour drive to get to Fox Chase that can easily become exhausting. But, I knew Dr.Reddy was worth it. Both he and his team are the most intelligent and professional group of doctors that we have ever come across. He kept us well informed from beginning to end. In November, he preformed my husbands whipple surgery. Not only was he by my husbands side every step of the way but he also communicated with me daily. "I have a tough time with where to begin. I am 33 and was Diagnosed with Colon Cancer, at any age I'm sure hearing that news hits the same. I am an active person in my community and my first series of thoughts was what is the fastest way to get this out and how can i get back to a normal life. "Before deciding on a surgeon to remove my colon cancer in May 2021, all the people I spoke with about Dr. Reddy had nothing but good things to say about him. I agree. Dr. Reddy was extremely professional, compassionate and courteous. He and his team at FCCC treated me with respect and provided me with excellent treatment before, during and after my surgery. Because of Covid my partner was not allowed to accompany or visit me. Dr. Reddy kept my partner informed by phone both during and after the surgery on my progress.He was successful in removing my stage 2 colon cancer with no additional chemo or radiation necessary.I would highly recommend Dr. Reddy and his team."

"Doctor Reddy is the best! Doctor Reddy explained the surgery in terms we could understand.Doctor Reddy’s team did a marvelous job of keeping me informed by calling me during the surgery. Doctor Reddy personally called me daily to tell me about my mom’s recovery progress at hospital. A discharge specialist made sure we have a needed support when we leave the hospital. Doctor Reddy, his team and everybody at Fox Chase did an excellent job of taking care of my mom! We are very grateful for such a wonderful team of people!"

"On June 8, 2020 I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and even though I was told it was operable I still felt it was a death sentence because everyone I knew who had pancreatic cancer had not survived long after diagnosis and I am 84 years old. I was referred to Dr Sanjay Redding and immediately after consulting with him my whole out look changed. Dr Redding explained so throughly how he felt by doing Robotic surgery even with the risk of such a long surgery at my age he felt he could give me a good outcome. I also had a pituitary that did not function which caused him some concern but we agreed to have the Robotic surgery and I am so glad I did. I had previous abdominal surgeries and I could not believe the difference the small incisions make and of course the after surgery pain was almost none existing compared to my previous surgery.I can only give praise for Dr Redding and the care I received, he stayed in touch with my family every step of the way and every day which was so important in this time of Covid and no visiting.And the best news is I am now cancer free and my recovery now at 2 weeks post operation is amazing.Dr Redding is a skilled compassionate Doctor who I would recommend to anyone."
